Parent Participation

At First Smile we understand the anxiety parents have of leaving your child during treatment. So parents are always welcome and encouraged to accompany their child in the treatment area for routine cleanings as well as for operative appointments.

In order to minimize distractions and ensure your child gets the highest level of care possible, it is best if other siblings are not present in the room during treatment appointments. I can assure you they will have more fun in our interactive waiting room.

Cancellations

We request that should you have to reschedule or cancel your child’s appointment, you provide at 48 hours notice. If two missed appointments occur without at least 24 hours, we reserve the right not to reschedule subsequent appointments.

Insurance

We accept most major insurances and participate as in-network providers. We will work hard to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Please check you plan or call or email us if you have questions regarding your plan.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of service. We offer a wide range of payment options. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, as well as some third party financing options. There will be a $35 fee for returned checks.

We will file a claim with your insurance carrier on your behalf. You will be responsible for any copays, deductibles, or fees not covered under your insurance plan. Should our child require dental treatment the dental needs will be discussed with you. Our staff will do its best to provide you with an estimate of your responsibility prior. The payment amount provided to you is an estimate only and you may be asked to pay the difference should the reimbursements from the insurance be different.
